Today, Internet is the place for exploring the world. In this place, you are always bombarded emails & private messages from friends and of course for the people in the social media & networking – just scouting for opportunity by pitching their products & opportunity in your face. This is something at time can be annoying. I d not like this and I am sure you are also the one like me who does not annoy people with sales pitch!

How Your Thought Process Crafts Your Destiny?
I am going to share a short story that I read of a man who got a ‘thought’ in his mind and then he went on to ‘Achieve & Grow Rich’ in Life. I am sure most of you would have heard this slogan “Made by Edison and Installed by Barnes.”
How did this slogan come into existence?
There was a man called Edwin C Barnes. He was young, living with little or no money in hand and with very little academic education. When he ‘thought’ of becoming a business associate with Edison, his situation was such that he could not take any meaningful action. This was because, he neither had money to travel &/or to invest in business and more importantly, he did not know Edison.
Was this not enough to put a stop to this ‘thought processes?
However, as this thought was beyond mere desire, as it got intensified with in him as burning desire coupled with determination, meeting Edison became the by-product of this ‘thought’. As this thought got crystallized with in him; he decided to travel to East Orange, New Jersey on a freight train, rather than going with his desire dead. He just appeared in front of Edison and declared his desire to be associated with him. As Edison said, he saw a purpose and deep intentions in this young man and hence gave him a job, which was least relevant to the business.
Point to be noted here is – Barnes did not get the business opportunity.
However, Barnes saw this as a stepping stone and humbly accepted the offer. Months and Years passed, nothing much happened except for Barnes was working in this less interested job for a reasonable remuneration. But, something very interesting was happening with in Barnes. He did not stop with his ‘thought processes’ of becoming business associate with Edison. He kept on intensifying his desire and held on to it with great determination.
As the days passed by, the opportunity quietly moved near to Barnes to get recognized. Edison invented a machine which his sales force was not confident of selling them in the market. They were not at all enthusiastic to sell this. This was the ‘million dollar’ opportunity for Barnes. He simply pounces on the opportunity and told Edison that he can sell this machine called ‘Edison Dictating Machine”. In fact, he did his job so well; that Edison gave him the contract as a distributor at national level.
Finally Barnes become ‘business associate’ of Edison and earned millions of dollars. However, it did not come overnight.
If you observe this story carefully, there are three components – Thought Processes, Desire & Determination. Any thought process backed with burning desire and strong determination will guide you towards achieving your “success.” Your success becomes by-product. Barnes had nothing to start with except the he knew perfectly what he wanted and the determination to achieve the desire.
Action Plan
Quickly pick up a pen and paper. Jot down the ‘desire’ that you want to achieve in life. Follow the three step process every day twice, preferable in the morning when you get up and just before going to bed.
- Read aloud whatever you have jotted down as your ‘desire’
- Visualize the same as if you have already achieved it. Intensify the picture day by day. Bright & Colourful.
- Experience the sense of satisfaction of achievement & intensify this feeling day by day.

Networking – Is This A Place For YOUR Future?
I first stumbled upon the concept called ‘network marketing’ when a friend of mine showed me a presentation in 2003 and I fell in love with the concept. Those explanations on the black board with links and circles to represent network marketing during the presentation opened my thoughts and eye to the future of the business. At that time I was working as a Manager in one of the largest German corporation. By then, I was in to the regular job for over 9 years.
Why do I say “the future of the business” is in the Network Marketing Industry?
I have gathered some of the information and also I will share my thoughts & perceptions on the same.
The fact that so many people are exploring the opportunity in Network Marketing industry is that it has the answers to the current marketing trends. Fortune Magazine’s ‘Market Shock 2007’- they said – Forget Your Pay Check; your w-2 days are over it’s a 1099 world now. The Market has decided and is moving, from baby food to fast food to natural cosmetics to home products to SUV’s. Invaluable offering from the network marketing industry as the experts say is that it provides ways to secure financial freedom and enjoy more time freedom. You can be YOUR own boss!
Just take a moment to think. Are you striving hard to catch up with the rat race in your corporate life?
As you see around, there are many people who are starting home business in record numbers. Some time back, I read that CNN reported that new home business is started in United started every 11 seconds. This is amazing. And also, you will realize as you read further, the home business has become the big trend of the day and network marketing is the future of the economic growth of United States and is spreading to countries like India, South Africa, Australia, Europe etc. In today’s scenario, network marketing is the hottest home business available.
Wonderful part of this Network Marketing Industry is – it offers less investment plan, less monthly overhead and would-be entrepreneurs can work part-time, while still employed, and grow the business to replace their current pay packets. Most exciting part is – age, gender and race aren’t barriers; in fact, well over half of the success stories are women in this industry is what I have read.
As we all know, in corporate jobs, only people with relevant skills, background and relevant experience survive a job opportunity. But, it is contrast in this Network Marketing Industry. Network marketing industry offers and accommodates every one, literally every one i.e. the basic philosophy is – there is no perfect or right person for this. Secondly, many of them who are yet to know the concept or are new to the concept think it is all about ‘selling’ and if they don’t see themselves as a ‘sales person’ they just walk away for this wonderful concept. This is not true. In fact, most of them who are huge success in this network marketing industry are ‘not sales persons’. To my surprise, when I spoke to few of them and also, I have read in few magazines that are successful in network industry, I understand that they all hate ‘selling’. What exactly they do?
They simply listen to people’s needs and dare to come forward with a resolution/answer. People are not looking for products, services or business opportunity. They are simply looking for solving their ‘life’s problem’
So, am I here to resolve people’s ‘life problems’? It is a big NO.
But, for sure I am able to resolve for quite. So, what am I doing here?
The reasons why people are flocking to network marketing industry in my opinion is to enjoy the time leverage, main stream commissions, residual income, and financial freedom. This is the only Industry which provides a business’s concept that doesn’t require employees, yet enables the owner to leverage their time and using the time for building a network of independent business associates. This network, which purchases and sells products or services, generates a residual income for the owner. Unlike the income earned at a job, which stops when the work stops, residual income continues on long after the work is completed. So, the answer to the above question is – I just share the knowledge and provide complete support. Help them live the life of excellence, which only this industry can provide.
Thanks to the ‘internet’ technology. People can now work from the comfort of their home, and within a few months to a few years, build a large international business. The income from this business will secure their financial future and provide more free time to truly enjoy life. The best part is that anyone can do it. Now, YOU can decide!

You might be reading all over the internet the information on ‘Leadership’ and such skill how it helps to have your own ‘small home businesses’
Today’s question is – Can I become a Leader?
My personal belief is that we all are born with some or the other leadership skills. All that we need is to fine tune those traits and also acquire few more to be an effective leader. Leaders Think & Act differently!
It is extremely important to know the differentiation indicator between – skill of performance and skill of leading such performers. As you would have seen, the best teacher need not necessarily make the best head of the department or an excellent individual performer in office scenario need not make a good manager. Why is it so?
In simple English, we can define Leadership as a process by which a person develops capacity to influences people to accomplish specific objective and directs in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent. This is my understanding I am sharing with you.
I understand that good Leaders are made and not born. If you have the burning desire, ready to quickly learn, then you can be a good leader. World’s best leaders have evolved through a continuous process of education, training, self-study and experience. Leadership is a winning combination of capacity to dream, think, foresee, visualize, belief, value, ethics, knowledge, plan, articulate, motivate, diversified etc. We can use any amount of adjectives, but Leadership is a winning combination of personal traits and taking actions. The trick is to understand the qualities and then quickly concentrate to learn these skills over a reasonable period of time. So, this is acquirable!
There are three variety of leadership. I shall not go deep into these, but shall try to provide the basis understanding.
- Natural Leadership – These leaders are gifted with some traits and when they exhibit the same, people get interested and they follow them as leaders. As mentioned above, some traits like being goo in listening, taking actions, being a good orator etc.
- Situational Leadership – These leaders are such that in a challenging situation, they dare to take charge of the situation, analyze and drive the situation to a logical end. If not for a solution, at least that will participate to find a solution while keep the stake holders together.
- Transformational Leadership – This is the leadership, which is acquired. These leaders show extraordinary interest to identify, understand and learn the skills of leadership.
So, by understanding & working through, you can also transform as a LEADER. Some of the points that help you to transform as a leader are jotted down. These are the few points from where you can start and then go deep for more understanding.
- Leader is always proactive and not reactive. They involve themselves completely while identifying the potential opportunity to be worked on. They always on the alert and put all their effort to understanding, analyzing, plan, adjusting, adopting and initiating.
- Visualization is one of the most important aspects to be an effective leader. This provides a sense of direction while handling the opportunities. By design, Leaders always dream and are passionate about their Vision.
- Leaders are not only passionate about their Dream & Vision, but also they share their thought process with others. This also helps them to crystallize on their thoughts and beliefs but also help in that Vision becoming a reality. This is one of the qualities that attract others to leaders instantly i.e. sharing!
- Leaders are always in the forefront implement their dream & vision. They are there always implementing specifics, improvising on their dream, vision and plan on continuous basis. They always make it a point to take decisions and carry out the required actions.
- Leaders have the capacity to inspiring. Their thoughts processes are well articulated to reach people which in turn defined into action plan. This proves the integrity among the people.
Although above mentioned are not the exhaustive list to follow to become a leader, the above points will give you an idea of what the leadership is all about and these points will help you to start with. As always told, becoming a leader is not difficult bit it is also not so easy. This requires the basic desire and hard work to acquire the leadership skills.

Is ‘Network Marketing’ – An Attractive Proposition?
I have been in the Corporate World for over 15 years now. In the interest of self development, I use to read books written by Antony Robins, Robin Sharma, Robert Kiyosaki and few other great authors. This is when I was introduced to the concept called ‘networking’
It took more than 5 years for me to really muster the strength to quit a well paid corporate job and to kick start on my own joining the ranks of people who work from home. As I know, there are hundreds of thousands of people who are on their own working from home. I simply moved my office which was 30kms away from my home to closer to my home i.e. my office is now part of my home. I need not undergo the stress and strain of reaching office, leave alone managing stress & strain at work place in addition.
As an Independent Representative & Free Enterprise Concept Promoter, I enjoy the Freedom of TIME. I attend to all that I need to attend (as a duty), which at one point in time was difficult to attend to; while I was with corporate. Just to give an example, I am proud to say that now I can manage enough time to take my wife to a doctor when she is unwell. Not that she is unwell all the time. But, this is something that I use to feel guilty off for all these years, as I use to find it extremely difficult to manage TIME & DISTANCE with the kind of work pressure on one hand and managing doctor’s appointment on the other hand. One more exciting part is that, now I can decide on how I need to use my time i.e. I can catch up with a client or I can go shopping with my wife or I can catch up with reading books of my choice. I just enjoy the freedom of being a Home Based Business Entrepreneur.
As you can see, I am enjoying the benefit of the flexible work schedules. As I understand, around 20+ million people Work from Home as per the US Bureau of Labour Statistics, released in Sep 2005. This Home Based Business Opportunity provides me to have a great control on my TIME factor. I read in one of the magazines that, according to Paul Zane Pilzer, author of the New York Times Best-Seller ‘The Next Millionaires’ – home based business entrepreneurs are on a raise and is the a fastest growing industry in this economy. And also, according to David Bach financial planning expert and Ney York Times Best-Seller ‘The Automatic Millionaire’ – that direct selling will be the turnkey solution for future.
The beauty of this ‘network marketing’ industry is that, I did not spend my time, energy & money in developing new product or system. All that I did is, I got connected to a system which is already existing, which I thought was the reputable company to be associated with, the one I trusted based on my own research and I am passionate about this whole program. One more thing that excited me was that, anyone can do this business. This industry provides an equal opportunity for men & women irrespective of their age, qualification, cast, religion and background. Most admirable of all is that, this doesn’t require millions of dollars to start with. All that you require is a good computer, broadband connection, telephone and of course determination.
