Awarness is the KEY to success…

Do We Understand This?

When you get up every day in the morning, you have choices i.e. you may choose to be happy or sad, you may choose to be proactive or reactive… just to give an idea!

So, Life is always filled with choices. Every day, every hour, we are making choices either consciously or subconsciously. Some choices seem insignificant to us, while others become life altering. We do have a choice to either participate in these day-to-day choices or just allow outside forces to make the decisions for us.

As I mentioned earlier, all of us have made either a conscious or subconscious choice to be proactive, reactive or inactive about making choices. Reflect on yourself with questions like: Am I generally proactive, reactive or inactive when it comes to making day-to-day choices and decisions?

Here is a definition of proactive from askOxford.com: Creating or controlling a situation rather than just responding to it. Basically, controlling a situation by taking actions rather than, waiting to respond after it happens.

And now you know, reactive is just the opposite of proactive – you have taken away the ability to choose and you are now in the position of reacting to what is happening around you.

And, Inactive is similar because you’ve chosen to be an observer and allow others to make the decisions. In other words, you’ve chosen not to choose.

Reflect on these questions:

1. When faced with a situation where in a decision to be made, do you wait to see for others reactions or do you do your own decision  independently after checking for the facts &/or information?

2. Do you do enough ground work to make an informed decision or you just go with the flow?

3. Do you find yourself using phrases like – hope, maybe, if only, I wish I could, I’m not sure etc?

It is always said that, being proactive in making choices and decisions are usually from a place of empowerment. That means,  self-empowerment comes with self-confidence i.e. to believe that you have the necessary skills to make correct & wise informed decisions at the given point in time. An empowered proactive decision always takes you forward in positive and productive ways.

Being reactive or inactive can always affect your self-esteem and undermines your decision-making and self-confidence as well. If you are reactive and/or inactive for long, you’ll eventually lose out on controls over your day-to-day choices i.e. you’ve given away your right &/or the power to make informed decision and choices.

In case, if you are uncomfortable with making decisions itself and unsure of your choices as well, begin with making small decisions and choices to start with. Take baby steps until you are confident & comfortable with the outcome of your choices. Follow them and reflect on them. Do this part of the activity religiously.

And also, last but not the least; begin complimenting yourself for the informed decision making and choices you made and their outcomes. One more thing that you can do is maintaining a journal about your informed decision-making & outcome/successes.

I have shared few of the thoughts that really helped me to lead a better life today!

Thanks & gods bless you!

How Positive Affirmations Can Shape Your Destiny

Positive daily Affirmations are one of the easiest ways to start your wonderful journey to a more cheerful & confident YOU. By repeatedly using Positive Affirmations, YOU are technically training your “Brain”. YOU are actually telling your “Conscious” mind about your success & happiness; eventually it will become part of your “Sub-conscious” mind i.e. repeatedly telling yourself over and over again – with GREAT BELIEF – that YOU are one of those wonderful things that YOU desire YOU will start manifesting itself in your very being.

Due to the kind of upbringing, surrounding in which one has grown and life conditioning, generally our “Sub-conscious” mind is so filled up with all such thoughts / beliefs that are not so helpful in our progress &/or prosperity. Basically, “Sub-conscious” is filled with all such memories &/or representations that have transpired through all sorts of experience i.e. from Joy to Pains of the past and our ironically “Conscious” mind is always checking for the information from the “Pain factor” as we would have conditioned our mind not wanting to experience the same once again. So basically, focus is more on “Not Wanting” rather than on “Wanting”. This is what actually makes most of the individuals to stay far away from experiencing quality life.

A “U – Turn” needs to be implemented. In the sense, our focus should shift from “Not Wanting’ to “Wanting” aspects of life. This means, we need to first un-train the pattern of thinking itself to ensure that your mind starts identifying wanting factors of thoughts. This is called “Positive Way of Thinking” and some call it as “Positive Thinking or Positive Thoughts”. It is very easy to train your brain and mind to start thinking “Positive”. One can do this by Self-Talk. Self-Talk by using “Positive Affirmations” which is a kind of Self-hypnosis. By using positive affirmations daily, one can train their sub conscious mind, in turn their conscious mind into believing and will experience the same manifesting in life.

The whole concept is “To Believe” i.e. first believe the concept and practice the concept with belief. Believe that You are the affirmations that you are saying. If not, those words that You say will merely remain as words!

This is not hard – This is so easy you’ll wonder why you didn’t do this year’s ago.

Below are few positive affirmations that I used and have found huge benefit and I start my day using these affirmations on a daily basis. One point to note: – It is not always be easy to “Believe” what you are saying, but you must keep persisting. If you think you had a bad day, forgive yourself first and others as well. Decide to wake up the next day knowing that you cannot change the past and today is the first day of the rest of your life.

You might know by now, that expert’s say it takes 30 days to break a habit!….. I can definitely testify that it took me less than 30 days to break free of my not so useful thought patterns to most useful thought patterns and to be that Confident person that I am today. Using positive daily affirmations is one very important step in the process to becoming what you want in life.

Decide to Stay Positive – Believe you have it today – and enjoy the journey!  I have picked up few from the know resource and sharing the same with you which I use on regular basis.

1. “I AM Happy and looking forward to today”!

Sometimes we wake up with a headache or it’s raining outside. Don’t let this stop you being happy. To use a rainy day as an example: – You can look out the window and think – It’s raining – Bugga! Or you can look out the window and think – Great! It’s raining – This will help the plants or clean the roads, etc. Might sound a bit lame to you right now, but, believe me just shifting from negative to positive thinking can change your entire outcome of the day.

2. “I AM so healthy and energetic”.

Focus on your potential – not your limitations. Even if you have an affliction, most times there is always someone worse off! Focus on what you have got. Ie; You can see, you can walk, you can sing, etc. Use the ‘cup is half full’ thought – not the ‘cup is half empty’.

3. “I Learn from my Mistakes – NOT Fear them”.

When you make a mistake, think about it. Try to understand how the mistake was made and how you can prevent it from happening again. FORGIVE YOURSELF, apologise to anyone who was affected by the mistake and move forward. Living with the guilt or embarrassment is only detrimental to your personal self-growth and won’t help you to being the Confident person you are striving to be. “Get back on the horse”. So to speak.

Enjoy!
